Vaast® from Daicel - Chiral Technologies is a new column for complete amino acid analysis. The column has been specially developed for amino acid analysis and separates chiral and achiral amino acids in less than 5 minutes. This is the first column with which all natural amino acid enantiomers can be separated in one run.

In addition to the new Vaast columns, kits for the derivatisation of amino acids are also available. These kits enable simple derivatisation and analysis. Derivatisation is carried out using AQC (6-aminoquinolyl-N-hydroxysuccinimidylcarbamate). This has the advantage that free amino acids, which can be contained as impurities in an Fmoc-protected amino acid, are derivatised and separated.
