General Description

The revolutionary Vaast UHPLC column 100x2.1mm, 1.7µm is the first chromatography column that can separate all 21 natural amino acid enantiomers in a single run. In addition to the Vaast column, the Vaast UHPLC column incl. reagent kit (powder) also contains the derivatization kit in powder form with the following reagents:

  • Vial A: 6-aminoquinolyl-N-hydroxysuccinimidyl carbamate (AQC derivatization reagent)
  • Vial C: Borate buffer reagent (in powder form)

Further Information

You will also need 0.1M HCl, water, and acetonitrile HPLC grade for derivatization. The Vaast 100x2.1mm, 1.7µm UHPLC column can then be used to simultaneously determine 21 natural amino acids and their enantiomers in less than 5 minutes. Amino acid column analysis is greatly simplified by using only one UHPLC column and one method. Method validation is less time-consuming and a higher sample throughput can be achieved. In addition to the analysis of amino acid mixtures, Fmoc-protected amino acids can also be tested for contamination with unprotected amino acids. In addition to the Vaast HPLC column including the Vaast Reagent Kit (Powder), the kit including acetonitrile HPLC grade is now also available as the Vaast HPLC column including the Vaast Reagent Kit (Liquid) (item no. 72KC1).
