InertSphere

InertSphere columns from GL Sciences are application-specific columns.

InertSphere FA-1 consists of a styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer and has sulphonate groups on the surface. It was specially developed for analysing formic acid in povidone.

InertSphere Sugar-1 consists of a styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer with quaternary alkylamine groups on the surface. This anion exchange column was developed for the separation of various sugars using an electrochemical detector and is particularly suitable for analysing mono- and disaccharides.

InertSphere Sugar-2 consists of a styrene divinyl polymer with sulphonate groups and calcium as counter ion. This column is mainly used for the SEC mode. At the same time, the ligand exchange mode offers interaction with hydroxyl groups on the analyte. The ligand exchange mode was specially developed for analysing sugar alcohols.
