Product Description

The PerfectSil 300 C4 column 250x20mm, 5µm, has a butyl group as functionalization. These short chains allow for low hydrophobic interactions. Compared to PerfectSil 300 ODS C18, large hydrophobic proteins elute much earlier, which is why a C4 column is often used instead of a C18 for protein analysis. The 300Å pores and low hydrophobicity also enable the analysis of monoclonal antibodies (mAb). In addition, this phase is used in the separation of proteins, large peptides, large natural products, and top-down proteomics.

Features and benefits

  • 300Å pores specifically for biomolecules
  • High-purity silica gel
  • High reproducibility
  • Suitable for LC/MS
  • Compatible with conventional HPLC systems

Further information

The PerfectSil 300 series was specially developed for the separation of biomolecules. The 300Å pores allow proteins to penetrate the pore system. This enables small peptides through to complex proteins to be separated and retained on the PerfectSil 300 columns. The high-purity silica gel and stable modification also allow use in LC/MS. The service life can be increased by using suitable pre-column cartridges.
