The PerfectBond NH2 HPLC column 100x3.9mm, 5µm, is an amino-phase column. This amino-phase column can be used in both normal-phase and reverse-phase modes, as well as in HILIC and, depending on the pH value, in ion-exchange chromatography. The NH2 groups on the PerfectBond NH2 enable interactions via hydrogen bonding and thus exhibit orthogonal selectivity compared to C18 HPLC columns. In the HILIC mechanism, carbohydrates (or sugars) can be separated. In addition, the PerfectBond NH2 can also be used for the analysis of lipids and fatty acid esters under normal-phase conditions.Its use as a weak ion exchanger also allows for the separation of organic acids or phosphate compounds.
The PerfectBond series is based on high-purity, spherical Type B silica gel and thus meets the requirements of modern separations. Thanks to the comparable selectivity and retention of the PerfectBond series, many traditional materials—some of which consist of irregular particles—can be replaced with modern, more efficient HPLC columns. This allows methods to be modernized with minimal effort. Using appropriate precolumn cartridges can extend the service life.
