The PerfectBond C8-H HPLC column 250x30mm, 5µm, is a standard octasilyl phase (also known as OS, RP-8, C8) that can be used in reverse-phase chromatography. The shorter C8 chains of the PerfectBond C8-H allow for weaker hydrophobic interactions compared to the PerfectBond ODS-H while maintaining comparable selectivity. As a result, highly hydrophobic analytes elute earlier, and method run times can be shortened while maintaining similar selectivity. Similar to the C18 phase, PerfectBond C8-H can be used for analysis in pharmaceutical analysis, environmental analysis, or food analysis.
The PerfectBond series is based on high-purity, spherical Type B silica gel and thus meets the requirements of modern separations. Thanks to the comparable selectivity and retention of the PerfectBond series, many traditional materials—some of which consist of irregular particles—can be replaced with modern, more efficient HPLC columns. This allows methods to be modernized with minimal effort. Using appropriate precolumn cartridges can extend the service life.
