Product Description

The Orbit 100 CN column 250x40mm, 5µm, is a phase that can be used in both reversed phase and normal-phase chromatography. The cyano group enables dipole-dipole and π-π interactions. The hydrophobic linker to the CN group also allows for low hydrophobic interactions. This results in different selectivities compared to a C18 phase, which can have a positive effect on separation. These phases can be used in particular for compounds with free electron pairs or aromatics, such as aldehydes, ketones, nitriles, or heterocyclic compounds.
