Product Description

The PerfectSil Target C8-3 column 250x10mm, 5µm, is a cyano-based phase that can be used in both normal-phase and reversed-phase chromatography. The CN group enables dipole-dipole and π-π interactions, as well as weak hydrophobic interactions due to the hydrophobic linker. As a result, this phase exhibits different selectivity compared to C18 phases. Cyano columns can be used in particular for compounds with free electron pairs or aromatics, such as aldehydes, ketones, nitriles, or heterocyclic compounds.

Additional Information

The PerfectSil Target series features a high-purity silica gel that undergoes a sophisticated end-capping process to achieve a purity of 99.999%. This end-capping effectively shields the surface and the free silanols, resulting in good peak symmetry for basic compounds. The use of compatible precolumn cartridges can extend the column’s service life.
