The MZ-Aqua Perfect 200 C18 150x3.9mm, 5µm, features an octadecylsilyl phase (also known as ODS, RP-18, C18) and additional hydrophilic end-capping. This phase can be used in reverse-phase chromatography with 100% aqueous mobile phases. Compared to the MZ-Aqua Perfect C18, the MZ-Aqua Perfect 200 C18 has larger pores, a smaller surface area, and a lower carbon loading. This allows for the analysis of larger compounds, such as large peptides or small proteins, and also results in weaker interactions. Consequently, analytes tend to elute earlier on the MZ-Aqua Perfect 200 C18. The phase can be used for the chromatographic analysis of highly polar compounds such as water-soluble vitamins, tricyclic antidepressants, theophylline, catecholamines, caffeine, or organic acids.
The MZ-Aqua Perfect series features a C18 modification with a hydrophilic end-capping. This hydrophilic end-capping prevents the dewetting effect and allows these columns to be used in 100% aqueous mobile phases. This enables the retention of highly polar compounds. The service life can be extended by using appropriate pre-column cartridges.
