The MEGA-624 MS Xil GC capillary column 10mx0.53mm, 3µm, is based on a low-bleed, silphenylene-modified MS phase with 624-typical cyanopropylphenyl selectivity. The stabilised phase structure supports low background signals and reproducible retention times for sensitive mass spectrometric detection. MEGA-624 MS Xil is intended for residual solvents, volatile organic compounds, halogenated components and purgeable analytes. Thus the column combines the established separation characteristics of a 624 phase with a low-bleed design optimised for GC-MS.

Additional Information

The MEGA product line is primarily based on high-purity, carefully deactivated quartz glass capillaries with uniformly applied and highly cross-linked stationary phases. Depending on the modification, methyl and phenyl polysiloxanes, cyanopropyl- or fluorine-containing polysiloxanes, polyethylene glycols, and proprietary application-specific coatings are used. Low-bleed phases reduce background noise in GC-MS, while high-temperature phases enable the analysis of low-volatility analytes. Each column is individually tested; additionally, selectivity, length, ID, film thickness, and the integrated retention gap can be customized for specific methods.
