ACE 3 HILIC-N Guard CRT for 3.0/4.6mm PK5

The Avantor ACE HILIC-N guard cartridges 3.0-4.6mm, 3µm, are used for column protection of Avantor ACE HILIC-N HPLC and UHPLC columns with an internal diameter of 3.0-4.6mm are used. They protect the analytical HILIC column from sample matrix and particulate contaminants. For a reproducible HILIC method the guard cartridge should be used with the same HILIC phase as the main column; the suitable holder H0001 serves as the guard cartridge holder.

In contrast to reverse-phase chromatography, retention in HILIC is typically determined by a water-rich layer on the polar stationary phase and mobile phases with a high organic content. Appropriate guard cartridges protect the sensitive HILIC method from matrix components and help ensure stable retention times.
