The PROTEIN KW-802.5 SEC column 300x8.0mm, 5µm, contains spherical silica with a hydrophilic polymer coating with a nominal pore size of 400 Å. In aqueous size-exclusion chromatography of biomolecules PROTEIN KW-802.5 covers a typical molecular weight range of approx. 5.000 to 100.000 Da and is particularly suitable for peptides, small to medium-sized proteins and protein fragments. The smaller pore provides high differentiation in the lower protein range. The ranges are nominal guidance values and depend on molecule shape, eluent and calibration.
The PROTEIN Series uses spherical, porous silica with a hydrophilic polymer coating. The coating reduces hydrophobic and ionic interactions, allowing size-based separation of proteins to take center stage. Different pore sizes target peptides, antibodies, aggregates, and very large protein complexes. Particle sizes and column IDs range from robust routine formats to highly efficient semi-micro and fast SEC columns.
