The Avantor ACE Excel CN-ES HPLC/UHPLC column 150x4.6mm, 3µm, features a cyano group with an extended alkyl spacer and has been developed for normal-phase and reversed-phase chromatography. The special feature of the Avantor ACE Excel CN-ES lies in the combination of cyano selectivity, increased stability and stronger retention than many classical CN phases. In addition to dipole–dipole interactions, moderate hydrophobic contributions can also be exploited, resulting in alternative separation patterns. The Excel format supports high efficiency and fast analyses on UHPLC and HPLC systems. Typical applications include steroids, vitamin K, aspirin-related substances, polar analytes, explosive residues and methods intended to be transferred between normal phase and reversed phase.
