The Kromasil Eternity PhenylHexyl HPLC column 33x4.6mm, 5µm, combines a phenyl group with a hexyl linker on the stabilised Eternity platform. This modification provides π-π interactions and hydrophobic interactions and thus delivers an alternative selectivity to C18 phases. Kromasil Eternity PhenylHexyl is used in reversed-phase chromatography when aromatic or structurally similar analytes need to be better differentiated. Typical applications are xanthines, aromatic active substances, structural isomers, natural products, impurity profiling and method development under demanding RP-HPLC conditions.
Kromasil Eternity is based on the Kromasil 100 Ã… silica matrix and a silica/organosilane surface designed for greater chemical stability. This silica framework combines the mechanical stability and defined pore structure of the Kromasil platform with a surface that supports long stationary-phase lifetime even under more demanding pH conditions. The platform is designed for reverse-phase separations and facilitates method development, method transfer, and the scaling up of analytical columns to larger HPLC formats. Compatible Kromasil Eternity pre-column cartridges protect the packing bed of the analytical column and ensure reproducible retention times during routine operation.
Kromasil is a registered trademark of the manufacturer Nouryon, Bohus, Sweden.
