Coregel Semi Prep 620 Column, Ca Form, SS 300 mm x 21.2 mm

The CarboSep CHO 620 HPLC column 300x21.2mm, 10µm, uses a Ca²⁺ form with 6 per cent cross-linking for ligand-exchange chromatography. Thanks to the combination of a calcium counterion and 6 per cent polymer resin, CarboSep CHO 620 offers typical calcium selectivity with a porosity that is particularly suitable for sugars, sugar alcohols and more complex carbohydrate mixtures. Suitable applications include food analysis, fruit juice analysis, fermentation monitoring and quality assurance for sugar products.

Additional Notes

The CarboSep series uses polymer-based packing materials with defined counterions and degrees of cross-linking. Unlike conventional silica phases, retention is not based on hydrophobic surface interactions, but rather on ligand exchange and size- or structure-dependent interactions between the carbohydrates and the polymer resin. This allows sugars, sugar alcohols, and oligosaccharides to be separated in highly aqueous eluents. The polymer backbone used is designed for routine applications in carbohydrate analysis; compatible CarboSep pre-column cartridges help keep matrix components out of the main column.
