The HALO 160Å ES-CN pre-column cartridges 5x3.0mm, 2.7µm, are used to protect HALO 160Å ES-CN HPLC columns with an inner diameter of 3.0mm. The 94900-001 direct mount is used as the precolumn holder.

The HALO Bioclass series is based on a core-shell material. This means that the particles have a non-porous core and a porous shell. This allows for high efficiency while maintaining low backpressure. As a result, UHPLC performance is possible using a standard HPLC system. Compared to the HALO series, the HALO Bioclass series features larger pores (160 Å, 400 Å, and 1,000 Å). This allows biological samples—ranging from small peptides to proteins and antibodies—to be analyzed using core-shell technology. The service life can be extended by using appropriate precolumn cartridges.
