Product Description

The Astec CHIROBIOTIC T2 HPLC column 100x2.1mm, 5µm, is a teicoplanin-based development within the CHIROBIOTIC range. The Astec CHIROBIOTIC T2 offers an alternative surface chemistry to CHIROBIOTIC T and can provide better peak shapes for certain amino acids, peptide building blocks or basic actives. The Astec CHIROBIOTIC T2 is used in chiral HPLC and LC–MS-compatible method development.

Features and Benefits

  • Macrocyclic glycopeptide CSPs
  • Multiple chiral separation modes possible
  • Suitable for ionic and polar enantiomers
  • High selectivity for amino acids and active ingredients
  • Complementary phases for screening

Additional Information

Astec CHIROBIOTIC columns are based on macrocyclic glycopeptide selectors bound to high-purity silica. The selectors offer multiple interaction sites, including ionic interactions, hydrogen bonds, dipole interactions, steric recognition, and hydrophobic contributions. As a result, CHIROBIOTIC phases can be used in normal-phase, reverse-phase, polar-organic, and polar-ionic modes. The choice of selector determines which enantiomers are recognized particularly well.
