The Astec CHIROBIOTIC V2 HPLC column 250x4.6mm, 5µm, uses a vancomycin-based chiral selector but is designed as an advanced CHIROBIOTIC-V variant. The Astec CHIROBIOTIC V2 can deliver different retention and peak shapes compared with CHIROBIOTIC V. The Astec CHIROBIOTIC V2 is used for amino acids, polar basic actives, chiral metabolites and method development in polar-ionic or RP mode.

Additional Information

Astec CHIROBIOTIC columns are based on macrocyclic glycopeptide selectors bound to high-purity silica. The selectors offer multiple interaction sites, including ionic interactions, hydrogen bonds, dipole interactions, steric recognition, and hydrophobic contributions. As a result, CHIROBIOTIC phases can be used in normal-phase, reverse-phase, polar-organic, and polar-ionic modes. The choice of selector determines which enantiomers are recognized particularly well.
