The Waters XSelect Peptide CSH C18 HPLC/UHPLC column 250x10mm, 5µm, is built on an octadecylsilyl phase (other designations: ODS, RP-18, C18) on CSH hybrid particles with a pore structure suited to peptides and is used for RP separations. The phase is designed for peptides under TFA or FA conditions and improves peak shape as well as loadability. The Waters XSelect Peptide CSH C18 is used, among other applications, for synthetic peptides, peptide impurities, peptide mapping, LC-MS and biopharmaceutical peptide analysis.
XSelect combines two deliberately different particle platforms. CSH uses a BEH hybrid framework with a controlled positive surface charge and is specifically designed to provide good peak shapes and increased loading capacity for basic compounds. HSS is based on high-strength silica and often provides stronger retention as well as different selectivities than BEH or CSH phases. C18, phenyl-hexyl, fluoro-phenyl, T3, PFP, and cyano offer a broad range of method development options; specialized peptide phases extend these concepts to bioanalytical separations.
