The Kromasil EternityShell C18 HPLC column 150x4.6mm, 2.5µm, is based on an octadecyl phase (other designations: ODS, RP-18, C18) on 2.5 µm solid-core particles. The C18 modification is designed for fast reversed-phase separations between pH 1 and 12 and offers a robust alternative to classical fully porous C18 columns. Kromasil EternityShell C18 is suitable for short analysis times, good peak shapes and high efficiency with demanding samples. Typical applications are pharmaceutical analysis, clinical samples, environmental analysis, food and beverage analysis, industrial analysis, local anaesthetics, tricyclic drugs and fast QC methods.
Kromasil EternityShell is based on 2.5 µm solid-core silica particles. In this particle architecture, the non-porous core is surrounded by a porous shell, which shortens diffusion paths and supports fast, efficient separations. The EternityShell surface is designed for robust C18 reverse-phase separations across a wide pH range and combines solid-core efficiency with the enhanced chemical stability of the Eternity platform. This makes the material particularly suitable for laboratories that require short analysis times and stable separation performance under demanding conditions. Matching Kromasil EternityShell pre-column cartridges protect the analytical column from particles and matrix components.
