The Kromasil Eternity XT C8 guard cartridges 2.1mm, 10µm, are used for column protection of Kromasil Eternity XT C8 HPLC and UHPLC columns with an internal diameter of 2.1 mm. The cartridges contain a packing material matching the main column and protect the analytical column from particles, Matrix components, buffer residues and strongly retained substances. The matching precolumn holder 00000HHO is used as precolumn housing.
Kromasil Eternity XT is based on the Eternity platform and utilizes a reinforced silica/organosilane backbone. This surface was developed to provide high chemical stability and a long stationary-phase lifespan under demanding reverse-phase conditions. With the availability of small particles down to 1.8 µm, Kromasil Eternity XT can be used for fast UHPLC methods; larger particle sizes support HPLC, method transfer, and scale-up. The uniform silica concept facilitates comparisons between C18, C8, and phenylhexyl selectivities. Matching Kromasil Eternity XT precolumn cartridges protect the main column and help reduce pressure spikes and performance decline caused by the sample matrix.
Kromasil is a registered trademark of the manufacturer Nouryon, Bohus, Sweden.
