The Waters µBondapak NH2 HPLC column 300x3.9mm, 10µm, is based on irregular silica and has an aminopropyl modification. The Waters µBondapak NH2 was developed for separations in normal-phase, HILIC and weak anion-exchange chromatography. The amino surface permits polar and ionic interactions and is particularly suitable for carbohydrate analysis. The Waters µBondapak NH2 is used, among other applications, for carbohydrates, polar natural products, normal-phase methods and weakly acidic analytes.
µBondapak is a classic Waters HPLC platform based on fully porous 125-Å silica with 10-µm particles. The product family includes bonded C18, cyano, phenyl, and amino phases, covering reverse-phase, normal-phase, and polar selectivities. Due to its long history on the market, the original µBondapak selectivity is well-established in numerous pharmacopoeia, literature, and in-house methods. When transferring methods, selections should therefore be based not only on USP class but also on particle type, bonding chemistry, and historical column format.
