Product Description

The Waters Nova-Pak C18 HPLC-/UHPLC column 150x3.9mm, 4µm, is based on an octadecylsilyl phase (other designations: ODS, RP-18, C18) on spherical silica and is designed for reversed-phase chromatography. The smaller particle size of the analytical Nova-Pak materials supports higher resolution and shorter analysis times compared with older, coarser packings. In practice, the Waters Nova-Pak C18 is suitable, for example, for routine RP analysis, pharmaceutical active ingredients, environmental samples, food analysis and methods with established Nova-Pak selectivities.

Features and Benefits

  • Fully porous 60Å silica
  • 4µm particles for fast HPLC separations
  • Multiple RP and polar phases
  • High efficiency in compact column formats
  • Proven selectivity for established methods

Additional Information

Nova-Pak is based on fully porous silica with a pore size of 60 Å. The analytical columns primarily use 4 µm particles and were developed to provide higher efficiency and shorter analysis times than traditional 5 µm columns. C18, C8, Cyano, and Phenyl cover different reverse-phase and polarity ranges; Prep Nova-Pak HR Silica complements the product family for normal-phase and preparative applications. The long-established Nova-Pak selectivity is particularly relevant when existing or validated methods are to be continued without modification.
