The Waters IC-Pak Anion HR HPLC column 75x4.6mm, 6µm is based on a polymethacrylate-based resin matrix and bears quaternary ammonium groups. The Waters IC-Pak Anion HR is used for anion chromatography and separates analytes via charge-dependent interactions. The HR version provides higher resolution for inorganic anions in short IC methods. Applications for the Waters IC-Pak Anion HR include perchlorate, inorganic anions, environmental water, process water and ppb-level quantification.

Additional Information

IC-Pak includes several types of materials for ion chromatography. The anion phases are based on functionalized polymer resins with quaternary ammonium groups and differ, among other things, in resolution and capacity. For cations, sulfonated polymer materials as well as the C M/D phase on coated silica are available. IC-Pak Ion Exclusion uses a highly sulfonated resin and separates weak acids via ion exclusion and distribution effects. Since the packing material and separation mechanism vary within the brand, the guard column must always be selected with the same phase.
