The Waters IC-Pak Anion-exchange Guard-Pak inserts are used upstream of IC-Pak Anion-exchange ion chromatography columns with mm internal diameter. Guard-Pak inserts require the holder WAT088141.

Additional Information
IC-Pak includes several types of materials for ion chromatography. The anion phases are based on functionalized polymer resins with quaternary ammonium groups and differ, among other things, in resolution and capacity. For cations, sulfonated polymer materials as well as the C M/D phase on coated silica are available. IC-Pak Ion Exclusion uses a highly sulfonated resin and separates weak acids via ion exclusion and distribution effects. Since the packing material and separation mechanism vary within the brand, the guard column must always be selected with the same phase.
