Kromasil 60-10-CN 20 x 150 mm

The Kromasil 60 CN HPLC column 150x20mm, 10µm, features a cyano modification on a 60 Å silica backbone. The cyano group provides dipole–dipole interactions and moderate polarity, allowing Kromasil 60 CN to be used in both normal-phase chromatography and reversed-phase chromatography. The phase offers a different selectivity compared with classical C18 phases and is particularly interesting for polar to mid-polarity compounds. Typical applications are diastereomer separations, pharmaceutical intermediates, natural products, pesticides, organic acids and method development with alternative selectivity.

The Kromasil series is based on highly stable, spherical, and fully porous silica particles. The silica matrix combines a high surface area, high pore volume, and a controlled pore structure with a narrow particle size distribution. This supports efficient packing beds, low pressure drops relative to performance, and good column and batch reproducibility. The Kromasil platform offers different pore sizes: 60 Å for small organic molecules, 100 Å for small molecules and peptides, and 300 Å for proteins and larger biomolecules. Appropriate Kromasil pre-column cartridges can be used to protect the analytical packing bed from particles, sample matrix, and hard-to-elute components.
