Kromasil 60-5-HILIC-D 50 x 150 mm (XP)

The Kromasil 60 HILIC-D HPLC column 150x50mm, 5µm, is designed for hydrophilic interaction chromatography (HILIC). The polar phase retains highly hydrophilic analytes that often show little or no retention on C18 phases. Kromasil 60 HILIC-D utilises the HILIC mechanism with a high organic content in the mobile phase and is therefore well compatible with LC/MS methods. Typical applications are organic acids, nucleobases, water-soluble vitamins, very polar active substances, metabolites, sugar derivatives and screening methods for polar compounds.

Additional Information

The Kromasil series is based on highly stable, spherical, and fully porous silica particles. The silica matrix combines a high surface area, high pore volume, and a controlled pore structure with a narrow particle size distribution. This supports efficient packing beds, low pressure drops relative to performance, and good column and batch reproducibility. The Kromasil platform offers different pore sizes: 60 Å for small organic molecules, 100 Å for small molecules and peptides, and 300 Å for proteins and larger biomolecules. Appropriate Kromasil pre-column cartridges can be used to protect the analytical packing bed from particles, sample matrix, and hard-to-elute components.
