The RNASep Prep HPLC column 50x7.8mm uses alkylated, non-porous PS/DVB microspheres for the analysis and purification of RNA. RNASep Prep is intended for smaller purification loads and method validation prior to scale-up. The listed configuration accommodates up to 50 µg total RNA or 1,000 ng of a specific RNA. Areas of use include purity assessments, mRNA method development and the collection of purified fractions for subsequent studies.
The RNASep series is based on alkylated, non-porous polystyrene-divinylbenzene microspheres rather than a silica matrix. Short diffusion paths promote rapid mass transfer, while the hydrophobic alkylation, in combination with ion-pair buffers, enables RNA retention. Depending on the column format, RNASep ranges from purity testing to semi-prep purification. Typical applications include the separation of DNA, truncated or misfolded RNA species, and other impurities in mRNA and IVT workflows.
RNASep is a brand name of the manufacturer ADS Biotec Inc., Omaha, USA.
