Product Description

The OligoSep HR HPLC column 50x4.6mm, 2µm, is based on an octadecyl-modified polymer phase (other designations: ODS, RP-18, C18) made from alkylated polystyrene-divinylbenzene. OligoSep HR is designed as a high-resolution variant for analytical oligonucleotide and nucleic acid separations. The non-porous particle structure supports rapid mass transfer and sharp peaks when short DNA- or RNA-based analytes need to be monitored. OligoSep HR is particularly suitable for purity testing, size control and methods in which small selectivity differences between similar oligonucleotides are to become visible.

Additional Information

The OligoSep series is based on alkylated polystyrene-divinylbenzene and was developed for high-performance nucleic acid separations. Unlike traditional silica phases, this series features a polymeric matrix that can be used in ion-pair reverse-phase methods with TEAA or similar buffer systems. Depending on the variant, non-porous particles for high resolution or macroporous materials for higher loading capacity are available. This allows OligoSep to be used for both analytical oligonucleotide controls and smaller purification tasks.
