The MZ-Gel SDplus LS 100Å column 300x4.6mm, 5µm, is made of a highly cross-linked polystyrene-divinylbenzene (PS/DVB) material. This column is used in GPC. Thanks to a special post-treatment of the material, the column exhibits extremely low phase bleeding, making it ideally suited for use with light scattering detectors (LS, MALS). The linear molecular weight range of this column is up to 3,000 g/mol, and the exclusion limit is 5,000 g/mol. Thus, the column is suitable for the analysis of very small polymers and for the analysis of monomers such as polystyrene or PEG.
The MZ-Gel SDplus LS series consists of a highly cross-linked polystyrene-divinylbenzene polymer designed for organic size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) or gel permeation chromatography (GPC). Thanks to a special post-treatment process, this series exhibits extremely low phase bleeding, making it ideal for light scattering detection (LS, MALS). Compatibility with many organic solvents in addition to THF, such as DMF, chloroform, and acetone, allows for the analysis of a wide variety of polymers. The service life can be extended by using appropriate pre-columns.
