The PerfectBond BDS C18 HPLC column 50x2.1mm, 5µm, is based on an octadecylsilyl modification (also known as ODS, RP-18, C18), which is used in reverse-phase chromatography. The C18 group enables hydrophobic interactions that produce selectivity similar to other C18 phases. Additionally, the PerfectBond BDS C18 is a base-deactivated (BDS) phase, which allows for good peak shapes for basic compounds. This makes the PerfectBond BDS C18 ideal for pharmaceutical analysis, food analysis, or basic compounds in general.
The PerfectBond series is based on high-purity, spherical Type B silica gel and thus meets the requirements of modern separations. Thanks to the comparable selectivity and retention of the PerfectBond series, many traditional materials—some of which consist of irregular particles—can be replaced with modern, more efficient HPLC columns. This allows methods to be modernized with minimal effort. Using appropriate precolumn cartridges can extend the service life.
