The PerfectSil Target Sil column 40x4.6mm, 5µm, is an unmodified silica phase for normal-phase chromatography. The interactions in this column are based on the adsorption of analytes onto the surface. As a result, polar compounds are retained to a greater extent. The nonpolar solvents used in normal-phase chromatography allow for the analysis of highly nonpolar compounds, such as lipids in food analysis or fat-soluble vitamins.
