InertSustainâ„¢ (U)HPLC Columns manufactured by GL-Sciences are based on a new type of silica, termed as "Evolved Surface Silica", which provides both high inertness and high durability. The surface of the silica is uniquely modified, enabling precise control of the silica properties. InertSustain inherits the advantages of all the current Inertsil HPLC columns (e.g. extremely low operating back pressure, superior inertness to typically any analytes, high efficiency and compatibility with a wide range of solvents), but now can be used for wide pH analysis with consistent performance from column to column and lot to lot. In 2021 GL-Sciences added the InertSustain AX-C18 as the newest member to the InertSustain family. The column combines C18- and aminogroups being a mixed-mode column mostly suitable for the analysis of acidic compounds.

InertSustainSwift C18 is an octadecyl-modified phase for fast and efficient separations and high throughput. The columns are further characterized by a comparatively weak retentivity and short equilibration times.
InertSustainBio C18 is an octadecyl-modified phase with 200Ã… pore size for the separation of biomolecules, such as peptides or proteins. The highly inert packing material is packed into a new Steel-Coated-PEEK hardware deliver excellent peak shapes for various analytes without any adsorption.
InertSustain AQ C18 is an octadecyl-modified phase with high retention properties for polar analytes. The columns are compatible with 100% aqueous eluents.
InertSustain Amide is a carbamoyl-modified phase for the separation of very polar analytes using Hydrophilic Interaction Chromatography (HILIC).
InertSustain AX-C18 is a mixed-mode column with bonded C18- and teriary amino groups, combining the advantages of reserved phase and anion exchange chromatography mode. The columsn are most suitable for the analysis of acidic compounds.
