Chiralcel
Chiralcel® is the brand name for a variety of traditional "coated" HPLC phases for enantiomer separation from the manufacturer Chiral Technologies (Daicel). The base material of these columns is a spherical silica gel to which a modified cellulose is physically bound as a chiral selector ("Coated CSP"). Compared to the more modern chiral "immobilised" phases, the solvent stability of "coated CSPs" is limited and the use of some solvents as mobile phases is not permitted.
