Kromasil 100-10-Phenyl 20 x 150 mm

The Kromasil 100 Phenyl HPLC column 150x20mm, 10µm, is based on a phenyl modification on 100 Å silica. The aromatic surface enables π-π interactions in addition to moderate hydrophobic interactions, thereby providing a different selectivity compared with C18 phases. Kromasil 100 Phenyl is used in reversed-phase chromatography and is particularly suitable for aromatic substances and structural isomers. Typical applications include pharmaceutical active substances, aromatic impurities, polycyclic systems, natural products, pesticides and method development with alternative RP selectivity.

The Kromasil series is based on highly stable, spherical, and fully porous silica particles. The silica matrix combines a high surface area, high pore volume, and a controlled pore structure with a narrow particle size distribution. This supports efficient packing beds, low pressure drops relative to performance, and good column and batch reproducibility. The Kromasil platform offers different pore sizes: 60 Å for small organic molecules, 100 Å for small molecules and peptides, and 300 Å for proteins and larger biomolecules. Appropriate Kromasil pre-column cartridges can be used to protect the analytical packing bed from particles, sample matrix, and hard-to-elute components.
