The Kromasil 300 diC4 HPLC column 250x50mm, 16µm, combines a difunctional butyl modification with a 300 Å wide-pore silica. The phase is designed for robust reversed-phase separations of larger molecules and provides a controlled, C4-like hydrophobicity. Kromasil 300 diC4 is suitable for biomolecular applications where larger pores and stable bonding chemistry are required. Typical applications include peptides, proteins, GLP-1-related molecules, biopharmaceutical APIs, preparative purification and scale-up of analytical methods.
The Kromasil series is based on highly stable, spherical, and fully porous silica particles. The silica matrix combines a high surface area, high pore volume, and a controlled pore structure with a narrow particle size distribution. This supports efficient packing beds, low pressure drops relative to performance, and good column and batch reproducibility. The Kromasil platform offers different pore sizes: 60 Å for small organic molecules, 100 Å for small molecules and peptides, and 300 Å for proteins and larger biomolecules. Appropriate Kromasil pre-column cartridges can be used to protect the analytical packing bed from particles, sample matrix, and hard-to-elute components.
