The Kromasil 300-10-C18 pre-column cartridges 2.1mm, are used for column protection of Kromasil 300-10-C18 HPLC columns with an internal diameter of 2.1mm used. The cartridges contain a packing material matching the main column and serve as protection against particulates, sample matrix, buffer salts and strongly retained contaminants. The suitable pre-column holder 00000HHO is used as the pre-column mounting.
The Kromasil series is based on highly stable, spherical, and fully porous silica particles. The silica matrix combines a high surface area, high pore volume, and a controlled pore structure with a narrow particle size distribution. This supports efficient packing beds, low pressure drops relative to performance, and good column and batch reproducibility. The Kromasil platform offers different pore sizes: 60 Ã… for small organic molecules, 100 Ã… for small molecules and peptides, and 300 Ã… for proteins and larger biomolecules. Appropriate Kromasil pre-column cartridges can be used to protect the analytical packing bed from particles, sample matrix, and hard-to-elute components.
Kromasil is a registered trademark of the manufacturer Nouryon, Bohus, Sweden.
