The ICSep Coregel 64H HPLC column (300 × 7.8 mm, 10 µm) is an H+-type column for ion-exclusion chromatography of organic acids and alcohols. ICSep Coregel 64H is suitable for samples in which acids, alcohols and carbohydrates are to be analysed together. Typical applications include fermentation, biofuel analysis, food analysis and the monitoring of aqueous process streams.
The ICSep series is based on polystyrene-divinylbenzene polymers. Fully sulfonated PS/DVB materials are used for ion exclusion of organic acids and alcohols. For organic and inorganic ions, functionalized, macroporous PS/DVB resins are used, for example, with quaternary ammonium groups for anion exchange or with sulfonic acid or carboxyl groups for cation exchange. The polymer backbone makes ICSep particularly suitable for aqueous, ionic matrices; appropriate pre-columns protect the main column from particles and matrix contaminants.
ICSep is a registered trademark of the manufacturer Concise Separations, San Jose, USA.
