The Avantor ACE Generix C18(2) HPLC column 150x4.6mm, 3µm, is an octadecylsilyl phase (other designations: ODS, RP-18, C18) with higher carbon loading and an adjusted pore structure for reversed-phase chromatography. The Avantor ACE Generix C18(2) can provide stronger retention and slightly altered selectivity compared with Generix C18. Therefore the phase is particularly suitable for methods requiring a more robust hydrophobic interaction or an alternative to existing C18(2) columns. Typical applications are validated HPLC methods, pharmaceutical active ingredients, impurity profiles, routine QC and method transfer between similar C18 phases.
Avantor ACE Generix is a robust HPLC series designed for routine analysis and cost-effective replacement methods. The base material is high-purity, spherical, fully porous silica with complete base deactivation, which supports reproducible peak shapes for acidic, basic, and neutral analytes. The series focuses on proven reverse-phase selectivities, making it particularly suitable for existing HPLC methods, quality control, and method transfer. Compatible Generix guard cartridges protect the silica matrix of the analytical column from matrix components and can extend the method’s lifespan.
