The Avantor ACE Generix Phenyl-Hexyl HPLC column 75x3.0mm, 1.8µm, features a phenylhexyl modification on high-purity silica for reversed-phase chromatography. The Avantor ACE Generix Phenyl-Hexyl combines hydrophobic retention via the alkyl spacer with aromatic and π-π interactions of the phenyl group. This results in an alternative selectivity to C18 and C8 phases, particularly for aromatic or structurally similar analytes. Typical applications are substituted aromatics, pharmaceutical active ingredients, isomers, impurity profiles, flavour and fragrance compounds and routine analyses requiring phenyl selectivity.
Avantor ACE Generix is a robust HPLC series designed for routine analysis and cost-effective replacement methods. The base material is high-purity, spherical, fully porous silica with complete base deactivation, which supports reproducible peak shapes for acidic, basic, and neutral analytes. The series focuses on proven reverse-phase selectivities, making it particularly suitable for existing HPLC methods, quality control, and method transfer. Compatible Generix guard cartridges protect the silica matrix of the analytical column from matrix components and can extend the method’s lifespan.
