Product Description

The Shodex IC SI-90 4E ion chromatography column 250x4.0mm, 9µm, contains a strong anion exchanger based on polymer. In combination with carbonate/bicarbonate eluent and suppression, the Shodex IC SI-90 4E provides reliable quantification of classical inorganic anions. A particular focus is on fluoride as well as on water and environmental samples using standardised IC methods.

Features and Benefits

  • Anion and cation exchangers
  • Suppressed and non-suppressed IC
  • Fast and highly sensitive versions
  • Special selectivities for oxyhalides
  • Robust polymer and silica packings

Additional Information

The IC Series primarily consists of polymer-based ion exchangers with polyvinyl alcohol or polymethacrylate backbones, as well as YK-421, a silica-based cation exchange phase. Quaternary ammonium groups provide strong anion exchange selectivity, while carboxyl groups are used for cation separation. Particle size, exchange capacity, and surface chemistry are optimized for carbonate, hydroxide, or non-suppressed eluent systems, depending on the column.

Legal Information

Shodex is a registered trademark of Resonac Corporation, Tokyo, Japan. The IC Series is a product line within the Shodex portfolio.
