The Kromasil SFC XT column 150x3.0mm, 5µm, is based on a fused organo-silane or organosilane XT surface on fully porous 100 Å silica. The XT modification expands the Kromasil SFC screening with an independent, less classical polar selectivity and can provide different retention patterns for non-polar to mid-polar substances. Kromasil SFC XT is suitable for fast SFC methods where silica, cyano, diol and 2EP do not show optimal selectivity. Typical applications are drug screening, separation of structurally related small molecules, natural product analysis, purification of synthesis products and preparative SFC.
The Kromasil SFC series is based on spherical, fully porous Kromasil silica with a pore size of 100 Ã…. The series is designed for supercritical fluid chromatography and includes the SIL, CN, Diol, 2EP, and XT modifications. This selection allows for SFC screening ranging from unmodified silica through polar diol and cyano phases to 2-ethylpyridine and XT. Thanks to the high mechanical stability of the Kromasil base material, Kromasil SFC can be used for both rapid analytical methods and for scale-up and preparative SFC separations. Matching Kromasil SFC pre-column cartridges protect the packing bed from particles, sample matrix, and heavily retained impurities.
