Product Description

The Avantor ACE Excel Oligo guard cartridges 2.1mm, are used for column protection of Avantor ACE Excel Oligo HPLC and UHPLC columns with an internal diameter of 2.1mm. They serve to protect the oligonucleotide method from particulate contaminants and strongly adsorbing matrix components. For a reproducible ion-pair reversed-phase method the guard cartridge should be used with the same Oligo phase as the analytical column; the appropriate guard cartridge holder is holder H0011.

Avantor ACE Excel Oligo is based on an ultra-inert, base-deactivated silica backbone with proprietary stationary-phase encapsulation. This surface chemistry is designed to meet the high demands of oligonucleotide analysis, where pH stability, low column bleeding, and reproducible retention are critical. The material is designed for mobile phases and buffers used in ion-pair reverse-phase analysis of oligonucleotides. Appropriate guard cartridges protect the analytical oligo column from matrix interference without altering the selective chemistry of the main column.
