The Avantor ACE Excel Glycan HPLC/UHPLC column 150x4.6mm, 3µm, is a proprietary HILIC phase for the analysis of glycans, particularly 2-aminobenzamide-labelled glycans. The Avantor ACE Excel Glycan is designed for high efficiency, very good reproducibility and long service life under typical glycan testing conditions. In hydrophilic interaction chromatography polar glycan structures are separated by water enrichment and polar interactions on the stationary phase. Typical applications are glycosylation patterns of biopharmaceutical active ingredients, released glycans, 2-AB-labelled glycan ladders, batch comparison, method development and quality control of biotherapeutics.
Avantor ACE Excel Glycan utilizes an ultra-inert, base-deactivated silica backbone with a proprietary polar surface chemistry. The phase is designed for HILIC conditions and the analysis of labeled glycans, where stable retention times, reproducible peak shapes, and high efficiency are required. The controlled silica surface reduces unwanted secondary interactions. Compatible guard cartridges help protect the glycan column from the sample matrix and maintain performance in routine and developmental biopharmaceutical analyses.
