The DNASep HPLC column (50 × 4.6 mm) is based on alkylated, non-porous polystyrene-divinylbenzene microspheres for ion-pair reverse-phase chromatography. DNASep is used for high-resolution dsDNA and ssDNA analyses where short analysis times, accurate fragment size determination and reproducible retention are important. Thanks to its polymeric matrix, the DNASep column is particularly suitable for DNA sizing, mutation detection, quality control of DNA fragments and analytical purification tasks. The C18-alkylated surface supports the retention of nucleic acids in TEAA- or HAA-based ion-pair methods.
The DNASep series is based on a polystyrene-divinylbenzene polymer matrix rather than a silica backbone. This makes DNASep particularly suitable for aqueous-organic ion-pair methods in nucleic acid chromatography. The non-porous, high-performance PS/DVB particle structure supports rapid mass transfer and reproducible separations of DNA fragments. In practical applications, the product line is primarily used for dsDNA and ssDNA analyses, DNA calibration, mutation detection, fragment size determination, and DNA purification.
DNASep is a brand name of the manufacturer Concise Separations, San Jose, USA.
