UltraCore SuperPhenylHexyl HPLC GRDS 2.1mm

The Avantor ACE UltraCore SuperPhenylHexylGuard cartridges 2.1-3.0mm are used for column protection of Avantor ACE UltraCore SuperPhenylHexyl HPLC and UHPLC columns with an internal diameter of 2.1-3.0mm. They protect the analytical solid-core column from matrix components and particulate contaminants. For reproducible separations the guard cartridge should be combined with the same UltraCore modification as the main column. The direct holder H0001 serves as the guard holder.

The Avantor ACE UltraCore series uses spherical silica particles with a non-porous core and a porous outer layer. This solid-core architecture reduces diffusion paths and enables high separation efficiencies while maintaining low backpressure. The surface of the silica particles is designed to minimize unwanted silanol activity, which promotes symmetrical peaks and robust retention times. By using compatible UltraCore guard cartridges, the analytical column can be protected from matrix interference without altering the selective chemistry of the main column.
