Product Description

The ICSep AN300 HPLC column 150x5.5mm is a functionalised PS/DVB anion-exchange column for ion chromatography. ICSep AN300 can be used for inorganic anions such as fluoride, chloride, nitrite, bromide, nitrate, phosphate and sulphate. Typical applications include water analysis, environmental samples, process water, beverages and methods based on EPA methods for anions.

Performance Characteristics and Advantages

  • Polymer-based phases for ion exclusion, anion exchange, and cation exchange
  • Suitable for organic acids, alcohols, and organic and inorganic ions
  • Functionalized PS/DVB backbones for defined selectivity
  • Robust separations in highly aqueous mobile phases

Additional Information

The ICSep series is based on polystyrene-divinylbenzene polymers. Fully sulfonated PS/DVB materials are used for ion exclusion of organic acids and alcohols. For organic and inorganic ions, functionalized, macroporous PS/DVB resins are used, for example, with quaternary ammonium groups for anion exchange or with sulfonic acid or carboxyl groups for cation exchange. The polymer backbone makes ICSep particularly suitable for aqueous, ionic matrices; appropriate pre-columns protect the main column from particles and matrix contaminants.
