Product Description

ACE 5 C18 for 10x4.0mm guard cartridge S

Performance Characteristics and Benefits

  • Ultra-inert, high-purity, base-deactivated silica particles
  • Broad range of selectivity for reverse-phase, normal-phase, and HILIC applications
  • Fully porous 100 Ã… and 300 Ã… phases for small molecules and biomolecules
  • Excellent peak shapes for acidic, basic, and neutral analytes
  • High reproducibility from column to column and batch to batch

Additional Information

The Avantor ACE Series is based on high-purity, spherical silica with very low metal contamination and targeted base deactivation. Controlled surface chemistry reduces the activity of free silanol groups, which promotes symmetrical peaks and reproducible retention times, particularly for basic analytes. The portfolio includes classic fully porous 100 Å phases, alternative selectivities, and 300 Å wide-pore materials for larger molecules. Using compatible Avantor ACE guard cartridges protects the silica backbone of the analytical column from matrix components and can extend the column’s service life.
