ACE 2 C8 Microbore HPLC Column 50x1.0mm

The Avantor ACE C8 HPLC column 50x1.0mm, 2µm, features an octyl modification (also designated RP-8, C8) for reversed-phase chromatography. Compared with C18 phases, the Avantor ACE C8 exhibits lower hydrophobicity and therefore shorter retention times for highly non-polar analytes. C8 selectivity is useful when methods need to be accelerated or when very strongly retained substances must be eluted earlier. Typical applications are pharmaceutical monographs, doxepin, metronidazole, benzothiazoles, fatty acids, organic impurities and routine analysis in tablet, injection and eye drop formulations.
