Product Description

The Discovery Zr-PS HPLC column 50x2.1mm, 5µm, employs a polystyrene-modified zirconia surface. The Discovery Zr-PS exhibits aromatic and hydrophobic interactions and can provide selectivities different to C18 or PBD. Typical applications of the Discovery Zr-PS are aromatic active substances, hydrophobic molecules, basic compounds and robust RP methods outside classical silica conditions.

Features and Benefits

  • Wide range of selectivities
  • Silica, zirconia, and Bio-Wide-Pore phases
  • Suitable for RP, specialized RP, and bioanalytics
  • Robust method development
  • Compatible Supelguard column protection systems

Additional Information

The Discovery Series includes various material platforms and surface chemistries. In addition to classic silica-based reverse-phase columns, high-purity HS phases, pentafluorophenyl, RP-amide, and PEG selectivities, as well as zirconia-based phases, are available. Bio-Wide-Pore variants with larger pores are designed for peptides and proteins. This makes Discovery particularly well-suited for method development when standard C18 selectivity is insufficient or more robust surfaces are required.
